Luscious Lobster Bisque: A Classic Recipe

This classic lobster bisque recipe is the perfect way to enjoy the rich and decadent flavor of lobster.


Ingredients Quantity
Lobster Meat 2 cups
Onion 1
Garlic 2 cloves
Butter 2 tablespoons
All-Purpose Flour 2 tablespoons
Chicken or Seafood Stock 2 cups
Heavy Cream 1 cup
Paprika 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Parsley for garnish


  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, sauté the onion and garlic in the butter over medium heat until softened.
  2. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, until the mixture becomes a paste.
  3. Slowly pour in the stock, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cream and paprika, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the diced lobster meat and cook for an additional 5 minutes, until heated through.
  6. Ladle the bisque into bowls and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
