Clams 4 cups
Lobster Meat 2 cups
Onion 1 large
Garlic 4 cloves
Chicken Broth 4 cups
Heavy Cream 2 cups
Butter 3 tablespoons
All-Purpose Flour 3 tablespoons
Dried Thyme 2 teaspoons
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste
Potatoes 2 medium-sized
Carrots 2
Celery 2 stalks
Parsley Fresh, chopped (optional)


  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add the diced potatoes, carrots, and celery, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle the all-purpose flour over the vegetables, and stir to combine.
  4. Slowly add the chicken broth, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the chopped clams and lobster meat, and continue to stir until well combined.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and dried thyme, and continue to cook until the chowder is heated through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
